Trader Joe’s Greek Gyros Recipe

Trader Joe's Greek Gyros

* This post is not in anyway sponsored by Trader Joe’s.  We just really like to shop there:).

Jason loves to eat at food carts for lunch.  One of his absolute favorite carts… which sadly caught on fire a few months ago 🙂 was a Greek one.  We have tried to recreate their Greek gyros using ingredients from Trader Joe’s.  Now I am not going to lie and say that  everyone in my family loves this meal.   Jason and I and Tucker (who surprisingly eats liver, yup liver) do.  The other 3 will eat it and it’s way healthier than a McDonalds meal.  These Greek gyros ( in my opinion) are delicious, fresh and so easy ( under 30 mins ) to make!

Trader Joe's Greek GyrosEnjoy!  I would like to point out that this is Jason’s pita… I am not able to eat that much hot sauce all at once:).

Trader Joe's Greek GyrosSome more of my favorite things to get from Trader Joe’s are cookie butter, alphabet cookies and pumpkins!!! ( the pumpkins are from my fall tour )

  1. Love that store! I couldn’t get any family members to eat lamb, but I think it looks delicious. I’m going back to get my pumpkins this weekend since the weather is finally going to cooperate. It’s hard to drag around pumpkins in 90+ degree heat!

    1. Trader Joe’s really is great Sharon! I agree about dragging around pumpkins when it’s too hot!!! Hopefully you will have some cooler weather soon! Take care, Tara

  2. We love gyros and we love Trader Joes! I haven’t tried the lamb tips yet for our gyros, but I have used the beef sirloin steak with chimichurri sauce – and we love it. The beef is so tender and tasty and goes well with the tzatziki sauce. I will definitely be trying the lamb tips – thanks for sharing!
