Sharing our family’s favorite homemade apple crisp recipe with oats.  It’s easy & quick to make & the best on a cool fall night & it is served in a 9 by 13 pan so it can feed a lot of people.

Ingredients Needed to Make Homemade Apple Crisp

  • 8 Apples
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 up water
  • vanilla ice cream *optional*

Step by Step Instructions for To Make Homemade Apple Crisp

Step ONE – Prep the Apples

Wash, peel, core & cut the apples.

Cut the apples lengthwise into smaller slices

Step TWO – Add the Apples to Your Baking Dish

Add apples to a buttered 9 X 13 baking dish along with 1/2 cup water

Step THREE – Make the Topping

Cut in the butter along with the brown sugar, cinnamon, flour & oats with a dough blender.

Step FOUR – Add Your Topping over the Apples

Spread butter mixture over apples in the 9 by 13 baking dish.

Step FIVE – Bake

Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 Apples

Instructions
