I am so glad to welcome you here for our farmhouse summer tour!
If this is your first time visiting our blog my family & I are slowly fixing up a century old farmhouse… a former turkey farm in the suburbs.
This website is where I share diy projects, decorating ideas, gardening tips & the occasional recipe that we learn along the way.
Front Porch of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
We have been working a lot lately on the curb appeal of the front of our home and just finished making this pallet sign to finish it off.

Entryway of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
Come on in to our entryway!

White hydrangeas are the best decorating accessory!

We built a small floating entryway table to the foyer this past fall after none of the other pieces of furniture that we had worked here.
Back up the steps we added an old door turned coat rack to the wall to store the overflow of coats, bags & backpacks.

Living Room of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
The living room didn’t need much more that a gallon of white paint couldn’t fix.

Believe or not a lot of the furniture in our house we bought or found 2nd hand, we made, or we found at an outlet or on clearance.

I love adding shells to our summer home décor.
Most of our shells we found on family beach vacations through the years.
For more shell decorating ideas check out my post here.

Our fireplace mantel I kept fairly simple with lots of whites, flowers and shells.

I even added a shell to our pallet wreath.

Dining Room of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
The dining room also needed a new paint job & our old dining table needed a simple free fix to become the perfect farmhouse table!

Again, white hydrangeas steal the show!
I bought over 20 Annabelle hydrangeas almost 3 years ago online for a couple dollars each and they are finally big enough to be able to cut blooms all summer long.
Check out my Annabelle hydrangeas on our garden tour.

My dining room mantel couldn’t have been simpler to decorate.

Candles & some fern cut from our garden in a fun cow creamer make great farmhouse summer tour mantel decor.

Kitchen of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
Off the dining room is the farmhouse kitchen.

I love having a sink under a window so I can watch my kids play in the front yard.

We have big plans for the kitchen over the next few years and hope to change a few things to the eat in area this summer.

Master Bedroom of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
The master bedroom was a huge project!

See it here.

Family Room of our Farmhouse Summer Tour
With all the red trim in this farmhouse summer tour of our family room it is hard not to decorate in a patriotic fashion.

We decorated our family room mantel with all homemade decorations from our cedar houses to my patriotic sign & the star garland.

Despite all my inside summer decor we really try to spend as much time outside as possible.
If you missed our summer garden tour check that our here.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check our farmhouse summer tour, I hope this post inspires you with lots of farmhouse summer tour ideas!

Thanks Emily!!! I definitely wish there were still turkeys here but I am slowly trying to talk my hubby into some chickens :). We really have tried to stay true to the character of our farmhouse so I appreciate that comment so much!
Tara, your home is absolutely gorgeous. I love the wood floors and the beams and ceiling in the kitchen. That kitchen window with the ledge in front to put things on is precious. Your dining table is amazing. I have one to build on my list of things to get done.

What a lovely home. There are so many homey and welcoming touches. I need to get to work and keep at it to get our home of just one year a little more finished! I have found there is at least one variety of hydrangea that will grow down here in the Florida heat and am anxious to get some planted in the back yard.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments about our farmhouse Chloe!!!
