I love to decorating with shells, especially in the summertime! Today, I am talking all about how I use shells to decorate our farmhouse in the summer.

Shells have fantastic color and texture & when I look at them I can’t help but smile.

Shells bring back wonderful summer memories for me.

I have a bunch scattered throughout my living & family room along with the rest of our farmhouse.

Ever wonder how else you might show off all those shells that you picked up on the beach? I put some of the shells and sand left over from our trip in an old blue ball jar on labeled it 2014 & placed it on our fireplace mantel!

Shells make fantastic wreaths! I have made 2 now one just for clam shells and one with a mix of different shells.

The one was made using a lot of the shells I collected while in Emerald Isle a few weeks ago.

I’m always thinking of different wreaths I can make…even my kids are starting to notice 🙂

For this wreath I used many different kinds of shells. I even used a few broken ones, it adds so much interest!
