Our Christmas decorating started in the living room of our farmhouse this year.
Farmhouse Christmas Fireplace Mantel Decor with Pallet Wreath, Evergreens, Garland & Candles

The star of our Christmas Fireplace mantel Decor is my DIY Pallet wreath.
I hung a beautiful & simple white & gold glass Christmas ornament that says ” A Thrill of Hope the weary world rejoices” written in calligraphy on it for our farmhouse Christmas fireplace mantel decor .

I adore decorating with our Pallet wreath wreath from year to year.
Under my wooden pallet wreath are 4 of my favorite battery powered candles from Balsam Hill.
These candles are gorgeous & look entirely real when lit… note to shelf (stock up on D batteries to light our candles. 🙂
I used faux garland with pinecones this year for our Christmas fireplace mantel decor.

Every year, I go back & forth between faux & real.
The real definitely looks the best but… some days I just don’t feel up to vacuuming up all those needles!

My red stockings were found at my local Pottery barn outlet many years ago.
I embroidered the kiddos initials on them so everyone knows whose stocking is whose.

We only had two kiddos at the time & bought 5 with one extra in case we had one more…
Well… I should have bought 2 more which is why Jason & I have 2 red stockings. 🙂
I hung a simple metal beaded garland with white felted stars to add a little glam to our farmhouse Christmas fireplace mantel decor.

Lastly, I lite a fire just so you guys could see how cozy everything is on our Christmas fireplace mantel decor!
Farmhouse Christmas Tree with Red Garland & Ornaments
We moved our Christmas tree back into the living room…

There is ALWAYS drama surrounding our Christmas tree (read about that HERE) & I suspect this may not be the only one this year.
To match our Christmas Fireplace Mantel Decor & red Stockings, I added some red velvet garland, ornaments & a tree skirt to the Christmas tree.
My red tartan hoop ornaments are the EASIEST DIY Christmas ornaments you can find!

And inexpensive to make too.

My Dad’s family is from Scotland & the red tartan is our family’s clan color which makes these Christmas ornaments extra special.
The red really pops against the evergreen tree & I love seeing the twinkling lights through the window outside our farmhouse walkway.

Lastly, I added some more red to tie in with our Christmas fireplace mantel decor with red pillows & a few Christmas houses to the top of our new bookcase.
We are sure to be spending a lot of time in our Christmas living room…especially on Christms Eve & Christmas morning!

I hope this inspires you to create a beautiful Christmas fireplace mantel in your home!
Merry Christmas!!!
