I think we are all ready for Spring! Warmer temperatures, more green on the trees, colors on the bushes and flowers in the ground, open windows and fresh air in our houses! I truly can not wait to start gardening but until then I continue to pretend it’s spring inside:) I have already shared a few other rooms in my house decked out for spring but here is the whole house tour:). If this is your first time here thank you so much for stopping by and welcome to our house! I’m Tara, a mom of four that loves to create alongside my family. Our house is a century old farmhouse that has had many additions added to it over the years. It is located on the site of a former turkey farm now a normal Suburban neighborhood outside of Philadelphia. If you want to go back and read more about what the house looked like when we moved in, please click here.
Above is a picture of our foyer/ entryway in our home to see more of this room, please click here. Up the steps and into the Living room I decorated with a lot of yellow accents for Spring and with as many plants as possible:).
Here is a closeup of my Spring mantel to see more pictures of the living room click here:
On the other side of our foyer is our Family Room…to see more pictures of this room click here:
In our Dining Room our farmhouse table Jason refinished is decorated very simply with a glass jug filled with forsythia. My spring garland is hung on our dining mantel with a white floral wreath above. I wish that my dining table was all decked out for a beautiful Easter brunch but thanks to our wonderful puppy Moose I can’t fold my laundry anywhere else or he will grab it and run around the whole house with it until someone catches him:).
That’s Moose our 4 1/2 month old puppy posing for his picture:). The little rascal fractured his little toe yesterday while playing fetch:(. The vet said he has to take it easy for a week (no walks!) and put him on some “doggie Advil.” Here is our kitchen below. We have such big plans for this room…I can hardly wait! All we have done so far is paint the trim white and add a few new appliances:).
I love the bay window over my kitchen sink. It overlooks our driveway and I love to watch my kids riding their bikes and shooting hoops while washing my many many dishes in the sink.
I added some fresh daffodil flowers and moved my old vintage kitchen scale to the center of the windows. The swan measuring cups were a gift from my sister and are from Anthropologie.
I picked up the white cow creamer from Home Goods for $5. Woo Hoo! I had recently broken another creamer we had and I love my new replacement:).
On our kitchen table I found this adorable yellow egg holder is from Home Goods too. The purple glass bunny dish is from Longaberger along with the basket holding a primrose from Trader Joe’s.
We are in the process of remodeling our Powder Room…to read more about it click here:
Lastly here is a sneak peak of our new reupholstered headboard in the Master Bedroom… details on how I did the headboard and our almost done master bedroom coming soon:). Yay!!! To read about what we have been up to in our master bedroom, click here.
Thanks again for stopping by and taking the time to check out our Spring Home Tour! I hope that it will inspire your Spring decorating:). Take care,
