We have been shiplapping our farmhouse like crazy around here!
Our boys bathroom received a small makeover with a new mirror & shiplap walls & they look INCREDIBLE!
It was a such a simple & inexpensive DIY update that we finished in just a weekend!

If you have never seen what our boys bathroom looked like when we moved in, you can see the before here.
You will not believe the transformation…it is a completely different bathroom!

The mirror we originally cut to fit over the farmhouse sink had begun to get moisture behind it & started to develop black spots on it making it difficult to see your reflection in.
It also looked really ugly & needed to be changed ASAP.

We decided to replace it with this one we found on Home Depot.
It is larger than our previous mirror & we loved the clean lines & classic look of it.

When we took the old mirror out, we were faced with having to re-plaster/drywall AGAIN so we decided to patch the holes and add shiplap walls instead.
Adding shiplap walls was definitely a quicker & easier solution to drywall.
And… it makes our boys bathroom look incredible!

We are absolutely loving the shiplap walls in our dining room & kitchen that we decided bring it into the boys bathroom as well.

I love the character the white painted shiplap walls bring especially when paired above our bead board chair rail & vinyl bead board ceiling.

After patching the holes to the bathroom walls we nailed the shiplap to the wall above the farmhouse sink.
We had enough leftover shiplap from the dining room that it cost us NOTHING to add which is amazing.
I covered the nail holes with Spackle & primed & painted the shiplap walls white.
I love the clean look the shiplap gives our farmhouse boys bathroom!

We LOVE the look of the shiplap walls in the boys bathroom now & we ALREADY want to add it to our foyer/entryway & the laundry room one day.
I would absolutely recommend shiplap walls for anyone looking for an inexpensive update to wonky & uneven old farmhouse walls like we have.
Crossing my fingers shiplap walls do not go out of style any time soon but for now, I think our boys bathroom looks pretty incredible.
