I am sharing our new GORGEOUS white farmhouse sink & faucet for our kitchen. I can not believe what a difference this apron sink makes to our kitchen remodel. This farmhouse sink was an incredible find because we were able to retrofit it to our existing wood cabinets & save money rather than adding new cabinets to our farmhouse kitchen.
I have wanted a farm sink for many years & it was definitely worth the wait! We also added new kitchen countertops to go with our new farm sink… but that is a post for another day. 🙂

Our Former Kitchen Sink had a stainless double sink was too small to soak our pots & pans. You can find more information about why we decided to change up our former farmhouse kitchen HERE.
Installing our Farmhouse Sink to our Existing Cabinets
What makes our farmhouse sink so special is that we could add it to our pre-existing cabinets. This saved us from having to buy a new sink base. You can see our previous sink and countertop from before below…
Jason took off the flip down drawer of our sink base to use as door on a new cabinet he is making. We then took off the old double sink and countertops (which was no easy task… it was HEAVY). Jason needed to have the farmhouse sink installed before the countertops came.
The beautiful white enamel cast iron finish really pops against our pine wood cabinets.
The Farmhouse Sink we chose
We are so happy with how our boys bathroom sink turned out that we wanted to get a Kohler sink again.
This is the one we ordered in white, KOHLER K-6426-95 Whitehaven Smart Divide Self-Trimming Under-Mount Apron-Front Double-Bowl Kitchen Sink with Short Apron, 35-1/2-Inch X 21-9/16-Inch X 9-5/8-Inch, Ice Grey.
This sink is huge and I can finally soak ALL my pots and pans in it.
I also like that the opening falls below the countertops which is a very helpful for a short gal like me, Ha!
Our farmhouse sink has 2 sink basins, one we are using for our garbage disposal and the other for our everyday dishes.
I love that the sink divider is low and can’t be seen I am still able to fill the whole farmhouse sink across to soak the dishes when I can’t get to them right away.
I also bought a sink rack (KOHLER K-5874-ST Whitehaven Sink Rack, Small, Stainless Steel) for the smaller side.Â
It is the perfect spot to leave out my kitchen sponge or a washed dish to dry in our new farmhouse sink.
Kitchen Faucet for Farmhouse Sink
We also have a new kitchen faucet, KOHLER K-99259-CP Artifacts Single-Hole Kitchen Sink Faucet with 17-5/8-Inch Pull-Down Spout, 3-Function Sprayhead, and Turned Lever Handle, Polished Chrome.
Jason ONLY wanted to drill one hole in our new counters, which limited my options but this kitchen faucet for our farmhouse sink is great!Â
I am especially loving that it has a powerful spray head to help rinse our very plentiful amount of dirty plates.
It makes cleaning up my new farmhouse sink a whole lot easier too. 🙂
We are nearing the finish line on this kitchen remodel and I can’t wait to share our countertops, oven vent hood, bead board ceiling, shiplap walls and even more of this finished space with you guys soon!!!
