Our family loves monkey bread! My family never made this growing up but an old girlfriend of mine introduced me to it in high school and I have been making it ever since. This monkey bread recipe is from Jason’s mom and I am not sure where she found it but it is super easy to make and everyone LOVES it! It is DELISH with coffee first thing in the morning for breakfast or shared over coffee with good friends for dessert.
*You need about 8 hours to thaw out the frozen bread before making this*
– 2 frozen bread loaves
-1 stick of butter
-2 tbsp milk
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1 3oz box of vanilla pudding (not instant)
-1 cup brown sugar
1) Get out 2 frozen bread loaves and put them in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise overnight or for 8 hours during the day.
2) Once the bread is risen grease the pan again and cut the bread up in walnut size balls. Cover them up and let them rise for another hour.
Jason usually makes the monkey bread in our house… I just wanted to point that out in case anyone was wondering why my hands looked sooo manly 😉
3) Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add milk, cinnamon, vanilla pudding, and milk.
4) Pour over bread balls.
5) Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins. (We like it on the gooey so I usually take it out closer to 25 🙂 Enjoy!!!
