Step by Step Instructions for How to Make a DIY Square Pallet Picture Frame
Step ONE – Take Apart Your Pallet Wood
Take apart the pallet wood very carefully.
For more tips on how to do this safely, check out this pallet post.
Step TWO – Cut the Pallet Wood to Size
Cut the pallet wood to size, we cut 4 boards 18 ” long & 4 boards 11″ long to create an 18″ square picture frame wreath.
Step THREE – Connecting the Cut Pallet Wood Board to Create a Square Picture Frame
In order to create a square pallet picture frame, we connected 4 boards to the bottom & 4 to the top so we could nail it through the front.
Nail the pallet wood together with a finish nailer to form your square pallet picture frame.
Step FOUR – Sand down the Pallet Wood
Sand all the pallet wood down so the wood is smooth to the touch.
Step FIVE – Hang your Square Pallet Picture Frame
Hang it up. You can hang your square frame with a nail or screw on the wall if you don’t mind it showing or you can add a saw tooth picture hanger if you want the nail hidden.
I also hung a small mason jar with a swig of wheat grass to give it a fall farmhouse feel.
For tips on a simple way to hang a mason jar check out my mason jar lantern post.
I am excited about changing this pallet picture frame wreath seasonally just like I have our round pallet wreath.
I love how it pops against our dark brown dining room walls.
I placed a Christmas ornament for our Christmas farmhouse tour & hope to add some fresh flowers in the spring.
I may also have to make a few more to use for some family pics in the future!
The possibilities are endless.
I hope this inspires you to create a diy square pallet picture frame for your home!
