Welcome to our old farmhouse spring tour!
We have lived here 2 1/2 years and have slowly been remodeling it one room at a time.
Our home was originally the tenant farmer’s house of an old turkey farm that has had some interesting additions added to it over the years.
It has come along way since it was built in the 1800’s and we hope to continue to bring it more up to date while preserving as much of it’s character as we can.
Spring Entryway Ideas with Fresh Flowers
I try to keep our farmhouse spring tour entryway as organized as possible for a family of 6.
The kids have done a lot better helping with that since we added more hooks and a shoe closet cubby to our closet.
We do keep the rain and gardening boots by the door all year round which has come in very handy when a little one can only find one match of a pair of shoes.
This past fall we built an entryway table which is perfect for keys, mail and fresh flowers.
It really does a great job keeping us organized and is so fun for me to change with the different seasons and holidays.
Hydrangeas are my absolute favorite.
I planted over 30 hydrangea bushes here since we move in.
They are just starting to come alive again after the long winter.
I look forward to the day I can bring huge armloads of blooms in and place some in every room of our farmhouse.
I paired them with some white tulips, so pretty and springy.
Bulb flowers are the best to buy in the spring because when they are done blooming you can take them outside and plant them, enjoying them for years to come.
I also added a bird’s nest found in our yard by the kids with one of my book page eggs. I love the texture it gives our entryway table.
I also added a little spring to our powder room in the form of my little ceramic bunny that given to me when I was a child.
Living Room – Farmhouse Spring Tour
Up the stairs in our living room…
I changed up my mantel again and added a wreath, some eggs and more flowers.
Our dog, Moose refused to leave the living room. 🙂
I added a bright yellow wreath to center my living room mantel.
I added some faux eggs to a glass jar and paired it with a candle and 2 oil lanterns.
I kept the coffee table simple with some fresh greenery under glass.
Dining Room – Farmhouse Spring Tour
I shared my Easter table yesterday but here is a couple pics if you missed that post.
I am so thankful we decided to paint our dining room a bold color.
I love decorating it for every season.
I set a very simple table, perfect for an Easter brunch.
I still love the farmhouse table that Jason refinished for me for free (see it here.
I added some more hydrangeas, an oil lantern, candles and a super simple spring garland I made last year to our dining room mantel which was the original fireplace for the farmhouse.
I have just one pic of my kitchen to share since I have 3 boys that are always hungry and there is totally dirty dishes in my sink, ha!
Master Bedroom – Farmhouse Spring Tour
Upstairs in our master bedroom there is nothing like a simple ball jar with hydrangeas to make a room scream Spring for a farmhouse spring tour.
And lastly back downstairs in my family room…
I added some pear branches in a simple former apple juice glass jug on our beam sofa table for a little more farmhouse spring tour decor in the family room.
Thanks so much for stopping by to see my Farmhouse Spring tour, I hope this inspires you with some spring decor ideas!
