DIY Book Page Easter Eggs

Today I got a jump start on my Spring decorating by making some book page Easter eggs with the kids.
We made the book page Easter eggs out of some cheap plastic Easter eggs & book pages.
They were really easy to make but also MESSY!
Our daughter, Audrey pretty much dipped her book page Easter eggs in the Mod Podge rather than painting it on, ha!
We had a lot of fun and it lasted a good 30-40 minutes including chasing after Moose as he kept stealing our supplies.
Supplies & Tools Needed to Make Book Page Easter Eggs
- plastic Easter eggs
- old book pages or newspaper
- Mod Podge
- foam brushes
- wax paper ( I used this to keep my table clean)
Step by Step Instructions for How To Make Book Page Easter Eggs
Step ONE – Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies & rip your old book pages up (the smaller the better).
Step TWO – Glue the Book Pages on the Plastic Eggs
Take the ripped book pages & start gluing them onto the plastic Easter eggs until they are covered completely.
I would definitely recommend laying down some wax paper or a drop cloth to protect your table from all the glue…. especially if the kids are helping!!!
Step THREE – Let the Book Page Easter Eggs Dry
Let the book page Easter eggs dry completely.
Because the kids added SO MUCH glue the eggs, I let them dry overnight.
Step FOUR – Decorate for Spring
I got busy adding our new book page Easter eggs all around our farmhouse.
They make the perfect Farmhouse Decor for Spring!
My favorite places to decorate them with are on display in a basket, bowl or birds nest.
This Spring decorating project would also be a fun craft to do with a bunch girlfriends & some wine of course!!!
I hope this inspires you & answers all your questions about how to create your own Book page Easter eggs for your spring decorating!
