At first, I was afraid I would somehow break the ornaments rendering them unusable on any tree or wreath in the future if it didn’t turn out.
How Much does it Cost to make a Christmas Ball Wreath?
I finally gave in & tried to learn how to make a Christmas ball wreath this year using plastic gold Christmas balls from the Dollar store.
I still managed to break a few but for less than $20 I made a wreath I will use every Christmas.
Hw Many Christmas balls Do You Need for How to Make a Christmas Ball Wreath?
In total you need about 100-125 Christmas Balls in various different sizes to make a 12 inch Christmas Ball Wreath.
I am currently on the hunt to find real glass ball ornaments on the cheap to make another Christmas ball wreath in the future!
I chose a straw wreath form because it is prettier and more finished looking than a Styrofoam one for any spots of the wreath form that might show.
How Long Does it Take to Make a Christmas Ball Wreath>
It took me about 2 hours to figure out how to make a Christmas Ball Wreath start to finish so plan on making yourself a big cup of coffee, put on the Pandora Christmas play list & stick a long movie in for the kids & get crafting it’s Totally Worth it!
Supplies & Tools Needed to Make a Christmas Ball Wreath
- – 1 12 inch round straw wreath
- – a bunch of metal paper clips (approximately 25-50)
- – glue gun and 5-10 glue sticks
- – 100-125 Christmas balls various sizes
- – green floral wire about 6 inches long
Step by Step Instructions for How to Make a Christmas Ball Wreath
Step ONE – Wrap Green Floral Wire around the Wreath Form
Wrap green wire around wreath & twist this will provide a strong wire for you to hang your Christmas ball wreath when you are finished.
Step TWO – Break Paper Clips in Half & Loop them Through Each Christmas Ball
Break paper clips in half & loop each paper clip through every Christmas Ball.
Step THREE – Push & Glue Each Christmas Ball to the Wreath
Start pushing the Christmas balls into the straw wreath form starting with the big balls first & gluing them in place.
Step FOUR – Fill in the Gaps in Your Christmas Ball Wreath
Fill in the gaps in the wreath by gluing on the smaller Christmas balls.
These smaller Christmas Balls will be too far away from the straw wreath form which is why the glue is needed.
Step FIVE – Go All the Way Around the Wreath till Finished
Go all the way around the Christmas Ball wreath until you are done.
Now that’s how to make a Christmas Ball Wreath!
