Fall has found it’s way into our kitchen & dining room.

It started with a pumpkin here & some fall leaves there but slowly & surely our whole farmhouse is transforming into a celebration of this amazingly beautiful & colorful season.

Starting in our fall kitchen… from our colorful red heirloom rug to our beautiful wheat sheaf wreath above our kitchen stove.

Once the weather starts to cool & the kiddos are back to school, I start to get excited about cooking again. And…fall decorating.

For some reason, I lose almost all interest in the summer. It’s just too HOT to cook & decorate for fall!

But… there is nothing like warm dinners & homemade bread in our fall kitchen.

There is nothing like the smell of warmly baked homemade bread coming right out of the oven.

Our oven heats up our entire fall kitchen space & you can’t help but stick around for that first slice of warm homemade bread.

I wish I could say that have been busy baking in here but with 4 kids on 8 different sports teams (not to mention church stuff & school), I just haven’t had a chance to start.

But, I know it won’t be long before a long rainy week of canceled games will get me baking in our fall kitchen once again.

There will be a quiet crisp fall night in our future soon.

And… with my oldest in 11th (eleventh grade guys!), I know it won’t be long till we don’t have crazy busy weekends of sports & church.

College is right around the corner…

So, I am soaking up as much time with them as I can!

And if that means canned soup & PB & J sandwiches so be it 🙂 I will have plenty of time to cook & bake before long.

At least, our farmhouse is ready with fall decor in the kitchen & dining room.
