Hi everyone! I am so excited to share our fall farmhouse. I have been on the hunt for real pumpkins for weeks now and despite all the hot weather we have been having, I am ready for Fall:). Thanks so much to Meg at Green with Décor for inviting me. Don’t miss the other ladies on this tour, their fall décor is Fallmazing!!! Grab your pumpkin spice latte or caramel apple spice with lots of whipped cream (my fav, especially with a little Bailey’s) and check out our Fall Farmhouse Tour.

For those of you that are new to our blog and our farmhouse, Welcome! Our family is slowly fixing up our 100+ year old farmhouse, a former turkey farm into our home. We are trying to live a country lifestyle in what just happens to be the suburbs :). For Fall, I love simple, comfortable and personal decorating that celebrate the beauty of the autumn season in our farmhouse.
I was definitely drawn to the color orange this fall probably because I have been looking for pumpkins for sooo long. There may just be a pumpkin in every room. I painted the family room orange in our last house but Jason never liked it so a few years and colors later we settled on beige. Boring, I know! At least we can all decorate with orange in the FALL! 🙂
You will also find a quote in every room too. You can never have too many quotes ;). Oh, and baskets! After struggling with the right piece of furniture for our entryway we made our own, you can find the diy here. We made the wood round pumpkins over the summer. I shared how to make them in a Fall eBook here.
I am looking forward to enjoying some fires as soon as the weather cools down. One of my favorite things about our old home is the fireplaces. Our last house did not have one and for some reason the house never felt right until we added one.
Since we created our cedar post houses last Christmas I haven’t moved them from our family room mantel. They are so special, I love that we made them to look like our previous homes.
Back up the stairs and into our living room I just finished making a fall leaf garland to add even more pops of orange.
You can tell Moose is really excited about all the fall decorating around here :).
I added some velvet pumpkins I made under a glass cloche on our coffee table.
I am really excited by how our living room mantel turned out. I can’t believe I haven’t made any fall garland before now.
I added a little bunch of wheat from AC Moore to our Pallet Wreath to make it scream fall. I love changing the look of this wreath every season.
I also added a mini pumpkin to our book page wreath to give it more of a fall feel as well.
I think my favorite view inside of our fall farmhouse is the one from our living room into the dining room.
I don’t know about you but I never feel too much like cooking or baking in the summer but as soon as the weather starts to cool off and the kiddos go back to school I start thinking about soups, and warm apple desserts.
Our dining room fireplace is very pretty but unfortunately is not very functional but that doesn’t stop me from decorating it for every holiday!
Believe it or not I found that pumpkin pillow cover on Amazon!!!
The red rug is my favorite. It adds so much warmth to the hall way between our kitchen and dining room.
I found the crazy looking pumpkin head figures for a few dollars at Home Goods. They kind of have a vintage look to them which is why I think I like them.
The kids have been begging us to make some caramel apples with them so over the weekend we gave it a try. The caramel was so hard that we had to break it before eating the apples.
Lastly upstairs to our master bedroom. It was finally cool enough to light a fire.
That concludes my fall farmhouse home tour. I say this every year but next year we are planting some pumpkins!!! It would save so much time and money from running around like a crazy woman asking people for pumpkins in August. Definitely check out all the talented ladies below for even more Fall decorating ideas!!!
