I am so excited to share our fall farmhouse decor & ideas with you this year!
I have been on the hunt for real pumpkins for weeks now & despite all the hot weather we have been having, I am ready for Fall.
Grab your pumpkin spice latte or caramel apple spice with lots of whipped cream (my fav, especially with a little Bailey’s) & check out my Fall Farmhouse Decor & Ideas Tour.

For those of you that are new to our blog and our farmhouse, Welcome!
Our family is slowly fixing up our 100+ year old farmhouse, a former turkey farm into our home.
We are trying to live a country lifestyle in what just happens to be the suburbs.
For Fall, I love simple, comfortable & personal decorating that celebrate the beauty of the autumn season in our fall farmhouse.
Fall Farmhouse Decor Ideas in our Entryway
I was definitely drawn to the color orange this fall probably because I have been looking for pumpkins for sooo long.
There may just be a pumpkin in every room, ha!
I painted the family room orange in our last house but Jason never liked it so a few years & colors later we settled on beige.
Boring, I know! At least we can all decorate with orange in the FALL! 🙂
You will also find a fall quote in just about every room too.
Oh, & baskets!
After struggling with the right piece of furniture for our entryway we made our own, you can find the diy here.
We made the wood round pumpkins over the summer. I shared how to make them here.
Fall Farmhouse Decor Ideas in our Family Room
I am looking forward to enjoying some fires as soon as the weather cools down.
One of my favorite things about our old home is the fireplaces.
Our last house did not have one & for some reason the house never felt right until we added one.
Since we created our cedar post houses last Christmas I haven’t moved them from our family room fall fireplace mantel.
They are so special, I love that we made them to look like our previous homes.
Fall Farmhouse Decor & Ideas in the Living Room
Back up the stairs and into our living room I just finished making a fall leaf garland to add even more pops of orange.
I added some velvet pumpkins I made under a glass cloche on our coffee table.
I am really excited by how our living room fall farmhouse fireplace mantel turned out.
I can’t believe I haven’t made any fall garland before now.
I added a little bunch of wheat from AC Moore to our Pallet Wreath to make it scream fall.
I love changing the look of this wreath every season.
I also added a mini pumpkin to our book page wreath to give it more of a fall feel as well.
Fall Farmhouse Decor & Ideas in the Dining Room
I think my favorite view inside of our fall farmhouse is the one from our living room into the dining room.
I don’t know about you but I never feel too much like cooking or baking in the summer but as soon as the weather starts to cool off & the kiddos go back to school I start thinking about soups & warm apple desserts like homemade apple crisp.
Our dining room fireplace is very pretty but unfortunately is not very functional but that doesn’t stop me from decorating it for every holiday!
Believe it or not I found that pumpkin pillow cover on Amazon!!!
The red rug is my favorite.
It adds so much warmth to the hall way between our kitchen & dining room.
Fall Farmhouse Decor & Ideas in the Kitchen
I found the crazy vintage looking pumpkin head figures for a few dollars at Home Goods.
The kids have been begging us to make some caramel apples with them so over the weekend we gave it a try.
The caramel was so hard that we had to break it before eating the apples.
Fall Farmhouse Decor & Ideas in the Master Bedroom
Lastly, upstairs to our master bedroom.
It was finally cool enough to light a fire in our master bedroom fireplace.
That concludes my fall farmhouse home tour.
I say this every year but next year we are planting some pumpkins!!!
It would save so much time & money from running around like a crazy woman asking people for pumpkins in August.
Definitely check out all the talented ladies below for even more Fall decorating ideas!

You are welcome anytime Meg! That ceiling in our kitchen is definitely a source of controversy here. Lovely tour! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I love the rug in your living room…..can you give the source?
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments Sheri! Our living room rug is from Pottery Barn but we have had it for almost 10 years now and unfortunately they no longer sell that style. If you are looking for a wool rug, I would absolutely recommend a Pottery Barn rug though. Our rug has survived 4 kids, 3 dogs and lots of foot traffic and it still looks great :). Take care, Tara
Thanks for your reply!!!
