Sharing how I decorated our farmhouse fireplace mantel for fall with beautiful & simple Fall mantel décor & ideas like a gorgeous & natural wheat wreath, pumpkins, wheat grass, fall garland & more.
And the best part is that I am sharing my neutral & simple fireplace mantel with some blogging friends below so there is sure to be plenty of fall mantel decor ideas to see!
The temperature is dropping, the leaves are turning pretty colors & it’s finally starting to feel like fall at our farmhouse.
Every year I try & change up my fall décor so it looks new & fresh.
Sometimes I run around like a crazy woman not sure exactly where to start but this year…
I found this gorgeous wheat wreath on clearance & I could not wait to add it to our living room mantel!

I am so glad I talked Jason into letting me paint our living room fireplace mantel white because it just makes our fall décor pop!
Even the neutral décor really stands out.
Wheat Wreath to Anchor the Fireplace Fall Mantel
Most fabulous mantels start with an awesome wreath & I absolutely love the wheat wreath I found on sale from Terrain last year.
It adds so much texture to our fireplace.
The neutral color & look of the wheat screams fall without any bright orange or black colors in sight.
Ornamental Wheat Grass in a Mason Jar
Keeping with the simple & neutral theme of our fall mantel I brought in a bunch of ornamental wheat grass & placed them in a simple ball mason jar next to a mercury glass pumpkin found at Home Goods a few years ago.
The grass is an unexpected change to a fall bouquet but I love the interest, color and texture it adds to our mantel.
Velvet Pumpkin & Candles
A homemade velvet pumpkin and fall inspired mercury glass votive add even more texture and warmth to our mantel.
Dried Pumpkins & Candles in a Ball Mason Jar
A simple white candle placed atop a mini pumpkin filled Ball jar and warmth and color to the other side of our mantel.
My mini wood slice pumpkin gives even more texture to our mantel.
You may have seen my galvanized house & “great is my faithfulness” print before…
They are definitely some of my favorite fireplace mantel accessories & I have no interest in taking them off my living room mantel yet!
DIY Fall Garland for Mantel Shaped like Leaves
I almost didn’t include the homemade leaf garland I made for our mantel last year but I am so glad I did.
There is something special to adding homemade pieces to your décor!
I am not making any promises I won’t change up my fall mantel décor anytime soon but I am pretty excited about how it turned out.
I hope this inspires you to create a neutral & simple fall mantel at your home this fall!

So many great details on your mantle. I love that galvanized house and the mercury glass pumpkin. Unexpected contrasts are always so beautiful. And aren’t the Mason jars the best for a quick vase? I use them all the time, I love the 1/2 gallon ones for big bouquets.
