This year we celebrated St. Patrick’s day dinner on Monday because of lacrosse practice and Moose‘s puppy lessons. Every year for dinner we have corned beef and cabbage. Jason is just starting to like corned beef….I know, Crazy!). Before recently he would only let me make it once a year, every March 17th.
I actually bought our corned beef two weeks ago because I was so excited about having it! Ha, like the stores would be out of it! I love the smell of St. Patrick’s Day dinner cooking. We kept our table simple. I placed my shamrock plant from our powder room as the centerpiece of the table under an old shamrock table cover that my mom gave me. I brought out my white plates and added my favorite green napkin rings both from Crate & Barrel.
It’s not St. Patrick’s Day without watching my dads favorite movie, Disney’s “Darby O’ Gill and the Little People”. For dessert we had shamrock cookies followed by some good old Irish coffee after the kids went to bed:).
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
