Green & White St. Patrick’s Dinner Table Decor with Shamrocks
To decorate our farmhouse table for St. Patrick’s Day, I kept the wood table bare simple with green & white accents.
White Plates, Clear Glassware & a Shamrock candy dish are really all you need to get started.
White Cloth Napkins with Green Glass Beaded Napkin Rings give our dining room table a little more of a formal feel.
I added my great grandmother’s small Shamrock runner with a pot of Shamrock clovers as the centerpiece.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Menu
Our traditional American St. Patrick’s day dinner consists of corned beef & cabbage with mashed potatoes & fresh bread.
I cook the Corned beef with spice pack, Potatoes, Carrots, onions & a little apple juice & brown sugar in our slow cooker on low for the day.
BY dinnertime, the corned beef is perfectly cooked & is ready to shred.
I pull the potatoes out of the slow cooker & mash them with a little butter, milk & salt.
Yum!
I actually bought our corned beef two weeks ago because I was so excited about having it!
Ha, like the stores would be out of it!
I love the smell of St. Patrick’s Day dinner cooking.
I usually make or buy Shamrock sugar cookies for the kiddos for dessert followed by a little Irish cream for Jason & I.
St. Patrick’s Day After Dinner Activity
It’s not St. Patrick’s Day in our family without watching my dads favorite movie, Disney’s “Darby O’ Gill and the Little People”.
Darby O’Gill And The Little PeopleIt’s a little Old Fashioned but our kids still like to watch it with me or my family.
For dessert we had shamrock cookies followed by some good old Irish coffee after the kids went to bed!
I hope this inspires you to create special memories of a St. Patrick’s Day dinner with your family!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
