In preparation for Memorial day I decorated the front of our house to create a patriotic front porch. I am in awe of the men and women who literally put their lives in harms way to keep our country safe so that we can enjoy the amazing freedoms that we do. Thank you!
I think it’s important to show my patriotism. I am proud of our country and I want the front of our house to say that! For those of you that read my Spring porch post you will see I am really trying to embrace the red:). I replanted my new cedar planters Jason made with some red geraniums and white begonia flowers. I brought out my red and blue tartan picnic basket to the front table.
The hydrangeas that were there in the pots for spring I replanted in the front garden bed. I also painted the trim around the front window red. My white wreath is hanging on my front door once again.
The American flag was a gift from my mom when we moved in:). I also put a few little flags in the other flower pots. I bought a the flag bunting last year and finally hung it around my new window box. I brought out the kids Radio Flyer wagon that was ours when we were little. I love the pop of red it brings to the front. My metal star looks perfect with the stars on the American flags.
I love how patriotic our front porch looks! Perfect for those patriotic summer holidays to come:). Happy Memorial Day. I hope you are all enjoying time with your families today, in this incredible country we call home,
Don’t forget to pin Our Patriotic Front Porch!!!
