I love my yellow forsythia wreath hanging on my living mantel so much that I was inspired to make another one for my front door. A few days ago when visiting Stone Gable’s blog, Yvonne made a similar super simple wreath. (I could get lost for hours just looking at her site:). I stopped at AC Moore on Monday to get the supplies came home and made a cup of hot chocolate and five minutes later my Spring wreath was DONE:). No glue gun required!!! Can you tell I am still really into the color yellow for my Spring decorating?
You only need 3 supplies to make this diy spring wreath:
1) an 18″ grapevine wreath (I paid $3 for mine using a 40% weekly coupon)
2) a bunch of 5 forsythia flowers (I paid $4.50 for mine and they were 1/2 off) – I even had a little left over to stick on my dining table. *you could easily substitute any flower of your chosing!
3) green floral wire
If you were following along with the math the wreath cost me only $7.50 to make:). Yay!
To make this Spring wreath:
Take your flowers and wrap them around your grapevine wreath ( I had to cut my stems to make them a little shorter). I also used the green floral wire to help keep the flowers in place and I tied one loop around the wreath to hang it with. See super simple:). Feel free to pin this to your spring decorating board:).
